Where did October Go?

October being Arts month kicks off the new art season.  Non stop gallery hopping keeps me busy. Viewing art from different perspectives is a wonderful way to reassess your own imagery; it makes me want to be in my studio constantly, but I am having trouble finding the time right now.

It also the start of the new season for my NFP the Visiting Artist Program;Understanding Through Art. After a successful fund raising year, we are again working with school age children  in Waukegan.

MFA Sandra Bacon will be working on self portraits with the students and  MFA/ Vice President of ARC ,  Cheri Reif Naselli will be working with them on fiber art. Students will be creating a card loom, and then a weaving.

Next in line will be artist Linda Doyal who will be working with them on 3D art. The first project will be embossing, using heavy duty aluminum foil.
